Boy Fatally Struck Crossing Street In Hatfield, Police Say
A child succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car in Hatfield Township late on Wednesday, June 28, authorities say. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Bethlehem Pike near the corner with Walnut Street, township police said in a release. The victim, an unnamed "juvenile," was hit by a northbound Hyundai Sonata while crossing the Pike "through traffic," the department wrote. Police are looking into allegations of prostitution at a spa in the Philadelphia suburbs. Hilltown police served a search warrant at the Tranquil Oasis Spa on Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield on Tuesday after a "lengthy investigation" revealed possible prostitution and related activity at the business, authorities said. Five Pennsylvanians were arrested for operating a straw purchase gun trafficking ring in Montgomery, Philadelphia, Berks, and Lancaster counties, authorities said Friday. Authorities in Montgomery County are turning to the public for help locating a missing 17-year-old boy. Hamzah Sylla left his home at North Broad Street and Cowpath Road in Hatfield on Sunday, April 25, local police said. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray sweatshirt and black and white shorts. He is approximately 6'1" and 130 pounds.
