Customer Arrested For Armed Robbery At AT&T Store In South Jersey There was an armed robbery at an AT&T store in Camden County, authorities said. On Monday, Oct. 24, at 8:18 p.m., Gloucester Township Police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a man with a gun at the AT&T store. The call then disconnected. Officers secured a perimeter around the store and immediately located the suspect and took him into custody, police said. An investigation revealed that during an argument, Nathan Jones, 20, of Philadelphia displayed a handgun and stole the employee’s cell phone as he was attempting to call 9-1-1.  A search of the area, where Jones was located …

Anthony L. Livingston, 50, robbed a PNC Bank in Gloucester Township on July 14, 2018 (photos above), a day after he’d been released after serving more than 18 years in federal prison for robbing eight South Jersey banks in 2000 and 2001, authorities said. Body Of Kayaker Found In South Jersey The body of a missing kayaker has been recovered in South Jersey, authorities said. The kayaker's body was found at 416 Front St. in Gloucester Township at about 10:50 a.m. Monday, initial reports said. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office reportedly was at the scene.  Firefighters from Squad 88 and Gloucester Township police helped retrieve the body, reports said.  This is a developing news story. Officers subdued the suspect, who allegedly was waving the metal pole and pepper spray, just before sunrise on Saturday, Gloucester Township police said. Fortunately, all the hotel's guests and staff escaped without injury, police in Gloucester Township said.  The blaze broke out about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Inn at 832 North Black Horse Pike, initial reports said. Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of ShopRite, Camden Shopping Center A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a Camden County shopping center, authorities said.  The scare began about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday when a caller threatened that a ShopRite supermarket on the 1200 block of Chews Landing Road was "going to blow up," according to Gloucester Township police. Police officers began to evacuate the supermarket, then expanded the precaution to surrounding businesses in the Market Place Shopping Center, they said.
