Murder-Suicide At PA Nursing Home (Update) A husband and wife are dead following a shooting at a nursing home in Pennsylvania on Thursday, Oct. 24, according to District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe. An 89-year-old woman died at the scene and her 90-year-old was taken to Reading Hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head — he passed away during the night, the DA explained in an updated release on Friday, Oct. 25.  Officers were dispatched to a report of "shots being fired within the facility" at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown late Thursday morning, according to the DA. Raul Castro was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison for the 2019 shooting of a 15-year old classmate after pleading guilty to attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a minor, and related offenses, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.
