Norfolk Southern trains were in a head-on collision, derailing three trains on Saturday morning — sending the two locomotives into the Lehigh River, authorities said. The three trains derailed near Riverside Drive in Lower Saucon Township at 7:15 a.m. on March 2, officials explained. Northampton County Executive Lamont G. NY Man Stole $138.6K Of Gas From Lancaster County Gas Station: Police
A 28-year-old New York man was released on $25,000 unsecured bail after funneling more than $138,600 of diesel fuel from a Lancaster County gas station into his truck over the course of several months, authorities said. Rafael Payamps-Valerio, of Corona, NY, stole thousands of gallons of the fuel from pumps at Redner's Market on North Reading Road between July and September 2022, East Cocalico Township police said. 150 Gallons Of Diesel Stolen From Lehigh Valley Fuel Tanks, Police Say
Police are seeking clues after about 150 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from tanks in Lehigh Valley, authorities said. An unknown suspect drove up to fuel tanks on the 3200 block of Apples Church Road in Bethlehem and pumped about 150 gallons overnight on Wednesday, Feb. 23, Lower Saucon Police said. “It appears that the fuel may have been pumped into another vehicle due to muddy tire tracks leaving the area of the fuel pump,” police said.
