A woman was killed in a house fire in Perkasie Borough early Sundday, March 12, officials announced. Police and fire crews were dispatched to Parkridge Court at about 10:40 a.m. for an active blaze, authorities said in a release. Authorities are looking for answers after an anonymous caller led them to a dead body in a Reading park. City police received a tip just before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, that a man was dead beneath the Lindbergh Viaduct in Pendora Park on Reading's southeast side, the department told Daily Voice. A worker in Northampton County is dead following an on-the-job accident, authorities say. Nicholas A. Varec, 36, of Emmaus, was on the clock at a worksite on the 4100 block of West Mountainview Drive in Lehigh Township on Wednesday, Jan. 4, said Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. A Bucks County woman has died after being hit by a car in Northampton County on Christmas Day, officials say.
