Lancaster Kayaker Found Dead In Swatara Creek: Harrisburg Officials A 44-year-old kayaker was found dead in Swatara Creek, the Dauphin County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday morning.  The Lancaster man was kayaking with friends when "he appears to have had a medical event," on Thursday, June 13, according to the coroner's release.  A life jacket was reportedly on the boat but was not on the man when he was found shortly after 9 p.m., officials explained.  "The Coroner’s Office is now working to ensure that all family members are notified before releasing his name," Dauphin County Press Secretary Diane McNaughton said.
