Pro-Palestinian Protestors Stop Traffic Along Ben Franklin Bridge (

Traffic along the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia came to a stop Saturday afternoon, March 2 due to pro-Palestinian protestors. The demonstration began outside City Hall before migrating to the bridge at approximately 2 p.m. The protestors could be heard chanting "Free Palestine" and "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free." Videos of the protest were shared to Citizen. Protests have been widespread since the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, sparking a war between Israel and Gaza.

Philly Area Liquor Stores Closed Due To Looting, Officials Say
All liquor stores in Philadelphia — and one in Montgomery County — are closed after the looting that took place throughout the city on Tuesday night, Sept. 26. "Last night, at least 18 Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores were looted," said Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board spokesman Shawn Kelly. Philly Police ID Suspects In Center City Beating
Police in Philadelphia say they have identified seven of the eight suspects in the beating of a 33-year-old woman near City Hall last month. The assault occurred on Feb. 23 around 7:12 p.m. at 15th and Chestnut Street, when several people in a group knocked her to the ground, Daily Voice reported. Police said the suspects punched and stomped on the victim until she was unconscious. She was treated at Jefferson Hospital for injuries to her head, face, and body, they added. Gunman Opens Fire In Philly's Center City: Reports
Philadelphia police are investigating after a gunman opened fire in Center City early Monday, Jan. 9, multiple outlets report. Shots were reportedly fired near the intersection of 15th and Market Streets at around 8 a.m., reports indicate. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, they added.
