Toddler Rescued From Schuylkill County Blaze: Authorities
An 18-month-old is hospitalized but safe after being pulled from a burning home by a police officer on Friday, Dec. 22, according to authorities. Multiple fire departments were called to a blaze with entrapment at 260 Indiana Avenue in Shenandoah Heights just before noon, state police said in a release. Shenandoah Borough Police Officer Mark Hysock responded to the scene and went inside the burning home, heading for the third floor, troopers said. Fire Crews Rescue Child From Stuck Car In Delaware County
Fire crews in Delaware County rescued a child from a car that got stuck as a result of flooding from heavy rain showers Wednesday morning, according to a recent news report. Concordville Fire Department blocked the southbound lanes of Baltimore Pike by Creek Road in Chadds Ford as crews lifted the child to safety, 6abc reports. No injuries were reported. : Atlantic City Police, Good Samaritans Rescue Stranded Swimmers From Ocean
In separate incidents this week, Good Samaritans and first responders have rescued numerous children from drowning along the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Atlantic City police posted video footage of one of the rescues here on Facebook. At 5 p.m. on Friday, Tourism District Unit officers responded to the Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard beach for reports of several young swimmers in the ocean in distress.
