A Camden man was sentenced to 92 months in federal prison for his role in a holdup spree by a serial bank robber. Laque Hunter, 37, was recruited to rob the Ocean First Bank in Collingswood in July 2018 by Anthony L. Livingston, 50, also of Camden. Livingston helped with a demand note and even drove Hunter to the bank, authorities said. The two then split the proceeds. A convicted bank robber from Camden who just couldn’t stop is headed back to federal prison for more than 16 years. Anthony L. Livingston, 50, robbed a PNC Bank in Gloucester Township on July 14, 2018 (photos above), a day after he’d been released after serving more than 18 years in federal prison for robbing eight South Jersey banks in 2000 and 2001, authorities said. Guns For Cash? Firearms 'Buy-Back' This Weekend In South Jersey
Camden is among eight buy-back sites statewide for gun owners to turn in firearms for cash, authorities said. Camden's gun trade-in is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, 690 Ferry Ave. Anonymity is promised for those trading in firearms for up to $250 cash per weapon, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of ShopRite, Camden Shopping Center
A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a Camden County shopping center, authorities said. The scare began about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday when a caller threatened that a ShopRite supermarket on the 1200 block of Chews Landing Road was "going to blow up," according to Gloucester Township police. Police officers began to evacuate the supermarket, then expanded the precaution to surrounding businesses in the Market Place Shopping Center, they said.
