Man Steals Bucks County Healthcare Worker's Credit Card, Makes $1.1K Purchase At Best Buy: Cops
Police are looking to identify the man who they say stole a healthcare worker's credit card and bought a $1,130 device with it at a Philadelphia Best Buy. The card was stolen from a healthcare worker in Lower Southampton Township, and the device was bought from a South Philly store, police said. The suspect was seen operating a small white SUV. 187K Air Fryers, Ovens Sold At Best Buy Nationwide Recalled For Fire, Burn Hazards
Nearly 200,000 more Insignia air fryer and air fryer ovens sold nationwide at Best Buy are being recalled due to potential fire risks and burn hazards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of approximately 187,400 Insignia products following dozens of complaints of ovens catching fire, burning, or melting. Berks Thieves Caught On Camera Stealing 'Thousands' In Smart Watches: PD
Two men strolled into the Wyomissing Best Buy over the weekend and walked out with thousands in stolen merchandise, according to borough police. Authorities said the men arrived at the 1701 Crossing Drive store around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, and left with an undisclosed number of Samsung smart watches. The treasurer of a Bucks County educational association is accused of embezzling nearly $30,000 in organizational funds and using the money on Door Dash deliveries and Wawa runs, authorities say. An 83-year-old woman is out $5,000 — and authorities are searching for the trio they say took it. Police in Fairless Hills were called to BJ's Wholesale Club on Commerce Boulevard at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31, where the senior citizen told them a woman stole her wallet while a man was distracting her. Police in Bucks County are looking to identify a man who used a stolen credit card to rack up nearly $5,000 at a Philadelphia Best Buy and other stores last month, authorities said. Video surveillance footage shows a man buying a Bose Acoustimass 10 series Home Theater Sound system and a Samsung Q900 T Sound Bar from the Whitman Square Shopping Center on Dec. 27 around 4:40 p.m., Lower Makefield police said.
