Bensalem Man Arrested For Deadly Philadelphia Crash: Police A 41-year-old Bensalem man is accused of fatally hitting a pedestrian in Philadelphia, authorities say.  Christopher Sorensen was arrested in Kensington on Wednesday, July 31, Philadelphia police said in a release.  Sorensen was driving east on Allegheny Avenue when he struck Christopher Cabrera near Frankford Avenue on July 17, according to investigators. Cabrera, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Sorensen is charged with homicide by vehicle and related counts, police said. Off-Duty Philly Cop Robbed At Gunpoint, Shoots At Suspect In Kensington: Authorities A Philadelphia police officer is being treated for injuries after he exchanged gunfire with an armed robber while off duty Thursday morning, May 30, according to officials.  Authorities said the officer was standing by his car on the 2100 block of East Westmoreland Street around 5 a.m. when a suspect approached him, brandished a gun, and "announced a robbery." Two Dead In I-95 Port Richmond Crash Two people are dead following an early morning crash on I-95 in Philadelphia, state police say. Troopers were called to the northbound lanes of mile 25 near the Allegheny Avenue exit just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4 for a reported three-vehicle accident, authorities told Daily Voice.  Of the three drivers involved, two were thrown from their cars and declared dead at the scene, they added.
