A second murder-suicide in less than 12 hours, the Chester County District Attorney's Office announced on Friday, Oct. 25. A father and son were found dead in East Goshen Township around 10:34 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, as detailed in the release. The Westtown East Goshen Regional Police Department and the Chester County Detectives are investigating this murder-suicide that did not involve any firearms, the DA explained. A Berks County man attempted to kidnap a girl from an alleyway in Reading on Friday, Oct. 11, authorities said. Liam Wilkinson, 24, of Blandon, had posed as a teen boy on social media to lure the girl into an alley in the 600 block of Ritter Street, WFMZ 69 News reported on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Denny's To Close 150 Restaurants
Restaurant chain Denny's plans to shut down as many as 150 of its locations. The company said half of the underperforming outlets will close by the end of the calendar year and the others will go out of business in 2025.
