Driver Killed, 3 Injured In Jeep Rollover On Icy Rt 222: West Earl Police
A deadly rollover crash on an icy stretch of Route 222 left one person dead and three others injured, West Earl Township police announced on Monday, Feb. 3. The crash occurred at mile marker 40.3 in the northbound lanes at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, authorities said. Responding officers found a 2019 Jeep Wrangler overturned on its roof off the roadway. The vehicle was carrying five occupants, according to police. A mobile home in Lititz was destroyed in an early morning fire that left three cats dead and sent one woman to the hospital, police announced. The blaze broke out in the Twin Brook Mobile Home Development on Earl Lane at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police said. When officers and firefighters arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames. After eight drivers got flat tires driving over sinkholes on Route 222, repairs are underway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and a local fire company announced on Monday, Aug. 5. All the flat tires were experienced in the morning commute along 222N at mile marker 37.2 just north of the Brownstown exit before Pool Road the West Earl Fire Company explained around 5:48 a.m. at 7:13 the PennDOT road crews arrived to complete the scheduled repairs.
