PSP Investigated 580 Crashes, Wrote 24,865 Tickets Over Labor Day Weekend Pennsylvania State Police investigated 580 crashes over the four-day Labor Day weekend. From Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2, those crashes resulted in 170 injuries and six deaths. Those totals were lower than the 671 crashes last Labor Day that resulted in 220 injuries and 10 deaths. Impaired driving was a factor in 65 of this year's crashes, three of which were fatal. Lanchei A. Williams, 45, of Philadelphia, crashed into a guardrail along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway in Tinicum Township, Delaware County at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Williams suffered minor injuries and was taken to Taylor Hospital, police said. John Fetterman's I-70 crash on June 9 said he might have been speeding before the accident, according to body camera footage obtained by the Washington Post.
