Dylan Bish, 19, was arrested on Wednesday, March 13, after a months-long investigation into disturbing threats made against a woman in the 3300 block of 3rd Avenue in Koppel, Beaver County police said.
The terror began in November 2024 when the woman found a handwritten note on her apartment door with her name and a phone number. She reported it to police, who attempted to contact the sender via text but could not identify them at the time.
Months later, in February 2025, another note appeared—this time detailing gruesome and sexual fantasies, including threats to "dismember" the victim with a chainsaw and engage in necrophilia, police said. The message was sent to the Pennsylvania State Police crime lab, and an investigation was launched.
Then, on March 10, a chilling text was sent to the police department’s phone from the same number they had previously attempted to contact. The message began with the victim’s name and declared that the sender had killed 20 women—and she was next, authorities said. It reportedly contained graphic details of his plan to “smash her skull” and commit other violent acts.
Detectives quickly identified Bish as the suspect, and during questioning, he allegedly confessed to sending the notes and texts. He also admitted to being obsessed with the victim and said he wouldn't stop until she was "dead," police said.
Investigators were further disturbed when Bish allegedly revealed he was attending Salem University in West Virginia for criminal justice and forensic science—not to uphold the law, but to learn how police and the FBI operate so he would never get “caught.” He also reportedly expressed a desire for cannibalism.
Bish was arrested and taken to Beaver County Jail, where he is being held on $1 million bail. A judge ordered that he undergo extensive mental health evaluations before any potential release.
He is charged with:
- Terroristic Threats
- Stalking
- Harassment
- Harassment - Communication Anonymously
Koppel police credited the Beaver County Detectives Bureau for their assistance, saying Bish’s arrest may have prevented a homicide or even the rise of a serial killer.
