Franklinville's Anthony Tartaglia, 48, Survived By High School Sweetheart
Anthony Tartaglia, of Franklinville, died peacefully on Friday, March 15, with his family by his side, according to an obituary published by Farnelli Funeral Home. He was 48 years old. Originally from Philadelphia, Anthony grew up in South Philadelphia. After graduation, he joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, his obituary said. "Having married his high school sweetheart, he and his wife lived in San Diego, Glassboro, Woodbury, and Franklinville before settling there to raise their family," his obituary said. Philly Felon Charged In Fatal Shooting On South Jersey Street
A Philadelphia man has been charged in a fatal daytime shooting in Gloucester County, authorities said. Tyler L. McKinney, 22, allegedly shot Brandon L. Blanton, 21, of Woodbury multiple times near Franklin and Wallace streets in Woodbury at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Blanton was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was later pronounced dead, Woodbury police said. McKinney was charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and several weapons offenses, authorities said.

Police in Philadelphia have released the name and photos of a South Jersey man who they believed raped a woman in a Center City law office building. Willie L Harris, 49, walked into the building on the 200 block of North 13th Street, went to the eighth floor, and sexually assaulted the 22-year-old victim in an unlocked office around 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, Philadelphia police said. Three people have been charged in connection with a series of recent armed robberies in Gloucester County, authorities said. Monroe Township police responded to a Heritage’s dairy store on Glassboro Road on Saturday for a report of an armed robbery in progress. A suspect, later identified as Brad Phillips, 41, of Gibbstown, crashed his vehicle on Prince Avenue while trying to escape, police said. Phillips was arrested along with two other suspects.
