A former Middletown police sergeant was given 22 criminal charges after an investigation revealed a web of illegal activity involving untraceable guns, drugs, and abuse of power, authorities said. They're from the U.S. Army and will be using the Lehigh Valley International Airport as a staging area for refueling through Monday, April 8, the airport said. Allentown Police Chaplain Angel Ramos Dies: Officials
Angel Ramos, an Allentown pastor and longtime police chaplain, has died, the department announced on Thursday, Jan. 18. Ramos had served as APD's chaplain for 27 years, said Chief Charles Roca in a statement. "Pastor Ramos served the city and its residents with distinction," the chief said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this time." His Facebook profile says he studied at Colegio San José in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and that he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ramos is survived by his wife.
