Fire Erupts at Liberty Road Compost Site, Upper Saucon Firefighters Respond
A significant brush fire broke out at the Liberty Road Compost site, prompting a swift response from Upper Saucon police and firefighters on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at 1:27 p.m., according to officials. Arriving officers found the blaze spreading from the east side of the facility toward the adjacent wood line. Fire crews from Upper Saucon, Coopersburg, Lower Milford, Upper Milford, Vera Cruz, Eastern Salisbury, and Lower Saucon joined forces to bring the fire under control. 'Large-Scale' Burglary Ring Targeted Homes In Lehigh Valley And Beyond, DA Says
Half a dozen people are charged in connection with a "large-scale" home burglary scheme, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office. At a press conference on Friday, April 26, prosecutors and law enforcement said an organized ring of thieves stole more than $160,000 in goods from homes in Lehigh, Berks and Northampton counties. Coroner Seeks Family Of Late Upper Saucon Man
The Lehigh County Coroner's Office is asking for the public's help to locate a decedent's next of kin. George T. Howard of Upper Saucon died of natural causes at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem on Monday, Feb. 26, officials said. He was 61. Ex-BF Stole, Crashed Victim's Car After PA Double Murders: Affidavit
The 17-year-old boy charged with murdering a mother and daughter at their North Catasauqua home was found badly injured after stealing the victim's car and crashing it later that morning, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. The 23-year-old driver in a March crash that that left three people dead including himself had a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit, authorities said. Nicholas White was heading southbound on Lanark Road in a Dodge Charger at a speed "too fast for conditions" when he left the roadway and crashed around 8:35 p.m. March 6, Upper Saucon police said. DeSales Community Mourns Baseball Player, TV Reporter, Cheerleader Dead In Weekend Crash
The DeSales University community is mourning the loss of a standout baseball player and two graduates killed in a weekend crash that left a senior student injured. The car the group was traveling when the vehicle veered off the road on the 4400 block of Lanark Road and hit a tree around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, in Upper Saucon, authorities said.
