The husband of a Kalahari Resort employee who was among two killed in a crash last summer has been charged in connection with the incident, authorities in Connecticut announced. Juan Fernandez, 38, of Union City, NJ, surrendered to police on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and was charged with two counts of negligent homicide, among other charges in connection with the crash on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, in Middlesex County, on Route 15 in Woodbridge. A convicted killer from West New York sent a fellow inmate to the hospital with a severe head injury as part of a deal with a prison "hit squad" run by a Latin Kings leader, authorities said. A Hudson County man was arrested by the FBI after he enticed two underage children to create and send him porn photos and videos of themselves, federal authorities charged. Erick Solis, 25, "used a social media application to engage with two underage victims in sexually explicit conversations," U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said Thursday. NJ Woman Who Worked At Kalahari Killed, Six Seriously Injured In CT Crash
A woman was killed and six other people all from New Jersey suffered serious injures in a single-vehicle crash in Connecticut. It happened just before 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 in New Haven County. The vehicle involved, a Honda Accord, was traveling northbound on Route 15 near Exit 58 in Woodbridge, when the vehicle veered into the right shoulder when it struck a tree, according to state police. Teens Go On Car Burglary Spree, Lead NJ Pursuit In Sedan Stolen Out Of Philly, Police Say
Three teens were in police custody with another suspect at large after going on a car burglary spree then leading a police pursuit across Hudson County in a sedan stolen out of Philadelphia, authorities said. A Secaucus, NJ resident called police to report four individuals burglarized his family's car on Pandolfi Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 20, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
