I-95 Will Re-Open For Traffic This Week, Says Gov. Shapiro
Nine days after a tanker truck caught fire and caused a port of I-95 to collapse in Philadelphia, Governor Joshua Shapiro says the highway is soon to reopen.
"Based on the tremendous progress these crews made over the weekend, I can now say, we will have I-95 back open this weekend," Gov. Shapiro said in a press conference at the site on Tuesday, June 20.
"We have worked around the clock to get this done, and we’ve completed each phase safely and ahead of schedule," he said.

Trucker Killed In I-95 Wreck Was A Father And Veteran, Loved Ones Say
Nate Moody, the New Jersey truck driver who died in the Philadelphia I-95 wreck that collapsed a portion of the highway on Sunday, leaves behind a family, loved ones say.
Moody was driving under a highway overpass in Tacony early on June 11 when his truck caught fire, causing the roadway above to buckle, Daily Voice reported. His remains were pulled from the wreckage the following day.
Now, loved ones and community members are raising money to assist the wife and children he left behind.
