Students Targeted With Racial Texts In PA School District Officials are investigating after several Montgomery County students were the targets of explicitly racist text messages that were also sent to Black and Brown students in several states since Election Day. The incidents occurred in the Lower Merion School District on Thursday, Nov. 7, according to a school district news release. Six students at the middle school level received the message. Reading Student Hit By Car Near High School, Police Say A 14-year-old student was hit by a car while walking to Reading High School on Thursday morning, Sept. 28, police told Daily Voice.  The student, a girl, was crossing the street at the same time a car was turning, RPD said.  Her injuries were non-life-threatening and she was treated at a nearby hospital, police added.  The driver stayed on-scene and is cooperating with investigators.
