Poconos Woman, 56, Killed In Early Morning Crash: Police
One woman is dead and two other people are wounded after a two-car crash in Pocono Township early Monday, Nov. 27, according to authorities. Police were called to Route 314 between Summit Road and Swiftwater Avenue around 6:45 a.m., the department said in a release. They arrived to find a 56-year-old passenger in a 2010 Kia Soul dead from her injuries, the release says. Her name was not reported though police said she was a resident of Pocono Summit. Hiker Suffers Medical Emergency Several Miles Into Delaware Water Gap Hike
A woman had to be rescued and taken to a nearby trauma center after falling during a hike on the Delaware Water Gap Thursday morning, authorities said. The Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company was one of several crews that responded to the report of a fallen hiker about four miles north on the Appalachian Trail from the Dunnfield Creek Parking Area on Route 80, the squad said. Crews initially met at the Dunnfield Creek Lot before moving to Old Mine Road, where they directly accessed the trail. 17-Year-Old Girl Dies After Crossing Center Median, Hitting Pickup Truck Head On In Bucks
A 17-year-old girl was killed after crossing over the center median and hitting another car head-on in Bucks County Sunday night, authorities said. The girl was heading northbound in a silver Toyota coupe on John Fries Highway in the left lane toward the Weiss Road intersection when she crossed the raised concrete traffic island and drove into oncoming traffic just after 10 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky said.
