NJ Police Officer, Woman Both Wounded, Suspect Dead In Domestic Incident UPDATE: A police officer was shot responding to a domestic incident that left a woman wounded and the gunman dead Saturday afternoon in Warren County, authorities confirmed. Warren County Prosecutor Jim Pfeiffer confirmed that the suspect had shot the woman and then opened fire on officers responding to the 1:15 p.m. April 8 incident just off Hanover Street in Phillipsburg. Paul Smith III was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin, second-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of distributing heroin, and obstruction, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said. Man Stabbed In Phillipsburg, Suspect Found After Hiding Between Homes One suspect was in custody after a person was stabbed in Phillipsburg Thursday morning, reports say. Emergency crews responded to Reese Court around 10:15 a.m., LehighValleyLive reports citing Warren County Prosecutor Jim Pfeiffer. The victim was taken to a local hospital while a suspect was apprehended after he was found hiding between homes near South Main Street, Pfeiffer said. The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
