Ozovek, 67, Of Buckingham Township, Dies In Crash A 67-year-old man from Buckingham Township, Bucks County, died after a crash along Route 33 in Northampton County, the coroner’s office announced on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Jerome J. Ozovek suffered a medical event, leading to the crash on the northbound off-ramp to Main Street at the Tatamy Exit in Palmer Township on Monday, Nov. 25, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek. Ozovek was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner ruled the cause of death as natural due to a medical event. Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Route 33 Rollover Crash The driver who died on Route 33 in Bethlehem Township on Wednesday night, Nov. 8, was 40-year-old Surmaliz Valentin Ramos, authorities say.  Ramos, of Hellertown, was driving a 2014 Toyota Scion when she crashed along Route 33 between Interstate 78 and the exit to Freemansburg Avenue at mile marker 1.4 around 7:15 p.m., state police told Daily Voice.  No other vehicles were involved, according to troopers.  She was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus where she later died from multiple blunt force injuries, said the Northampton County Coroner's Office.  T…

Northampton County Car Fire Shuts Down Route 33 Overpass A Tuesday morning car fire in Northampton County shut down an overpass bridge on Route 33 for the resulting investigation, crews said. The car went up in flames in on Route 33 northbound near the Route 22 interchange late Tuesday morning, the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company said. The Church Road bridge was shut down to check for damages due to the distance of the fire, the department said. It is not clear how long the bridge will remain closed. “If you use the Church Road bridge, please consider an alternate route,” the fire company said.
