$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Pennsylvania
A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Philadelphia on Monday, Sept. 23, the lottery commission announced on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The winning ticket was sold at Sak Traders Inc. in the 3600 block of Richmond Street. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winning ticket matched all five of the white balls that were drawn, with the numbers: 15-21-25-37-45, but not the red Powerball 19. A Philadelphia pair is facing up to 90 years in prison for their alleged attempt to rob a Wawa with multiple explosive devices during last year's widespread Black Lives Matter protests, federal authorities announced. Serial Philadelphia Bank Robber Gets 9 Years Behind Bars
A Philadelphia bank robber is facing nine years behind bars for a nearly six-month-long crime spree during which he robbed eight banks and businesses, authorities said. Gerald Griffith, also known as “Jerry Porecca,” 47, pleaded guilty in December 2019 to two counts of bank robbery, two counts of armed bank robbery, and four counts of Hobbs Act robbery, Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams said.
