This Pennsylvania Orchard Was Named Among Best Places To Go Apple Picking In US
Whether candied, caramelized, crisped, or sauced, apples — along with doughnuts — have long been considered one of fall’s staple snacks. Fortunately, October is the perfect time of year to make a trip to a Pennsylvania farm for a fun-filled afternoon of apple-picking.
Solebury Orchards in New Hope was named among the best places in the US to go apple-picking, according to a new list by Travel + Leisure.
"Rain or shine, Solebury Orchards is open for apple, cherry tomato, and flower picking in the fall," the outlet wrote. "Come on a weekend to pick Pixie Crunch and Jonathan apples."

Philly Man Caught Promoting Prostitution, Selling Meth, Heroin In South Jersey, Police Say
A Philadelphia man was arrested after he was caught promoting prostitution and selling meth and heroin in South Jersey, authorities said.
Jeff Keopetoon was behind the wheel of a blue Toyota SUV that was being driven suspiciously in parking lots near the MarketFair Mall, Hyatt Place hotel, and several restaurants in Princeton just after 3:05 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, West Windsor Police said.
After circling the parking lots several times, Keopetoon stopped in front of the Hyatt and picked up a woman before continuing to drive erratically, police said.

U.S. News & World Report has released its latest rankings of the best colleges in America.
The University of Pennsylvania was ranked among the top 10 in the nation.
The calculations were based on nine broad measures of quality: graduation and retention, graduation rate performance, graduate indebtedness, social mobility, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence, and alumni giving.

Authorities: Car Burglar Admits Breaking Into 2,000 Vehicles In New Jersey, Pennsylvania
Authorities have arrested a suspect who admits breaking into about 2,000 vehicles in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Keith A. Johnson, 33, of Yardley, in Bucks County, PA, is charged with numerous counts of theft and burglary, as well as 76 counts of loitering/prowling at night, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
Johnson also admitted to stealing $140,000 in cash during a burglary in Philadelphia, detectives said in court papers, according to NJ Advance Media.
When police searched Johnson's home, they found $30,000 in cash, plus items stolen from cars, they said.
