A "suspicious package" from Virginia thought to contain a pipe bomb was part of a "prank," police in Pennsylvania announced on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023. The package sent from a VA man was received by a resident in the 5000 block of Martin Avenue, East Petersburg, PA around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2023, according to a release by the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department. Two Delaware County elementary schools were locked down early Wednesday after a prankster with a water gun was mistaken for an armed person, authorities say. It happened around 8:30 a.m. on May 17, Ridley Township police wrote in a release. Witnesses reported a person with a gun hiding in some bushes near Notre Dame DeLourdes School, 990 Fairview Road, they said.
