Unpredictable Hedge Trimmer Blades Injure 16 People, Forcing Massive Recall A popular hedge trimmer is being recalled after blades began turning on without warning, cutting more than a dozen people. Ryobi issued the recall for more than 113,000 24-inch cordless hedge trimmers sold in the US, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, June 12. The recall also impacts about 15,000 of the 40-volt trimmers sold in Canada. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the company issued a recall of 1,364,000 DeWALT 12-inch sliding compound miter saws due to a rear safety guard that can break or detach, posing an injury hazard due to projectiles that can strike the user and bystanders. Police Seek ID For Suspect Who Stole Tools, Children’s Power Car From Bethlehem Property Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect they say stole several tools as well as a children’s toy power car from a property in Bethlehem. The suspect pictured above is accused of stealing several Dewalt power tools from a property on the 300 block of Wyandotte Street sometime Monday, Bethlehem Police said. The suspect also took a children’s power wheel, according to police.
