An argument between two groups in Philadelphia last month led to the shooting death of an uninvolved woman, according to city police. Authorities said it happened around 4:45 p.m. on May 11, when three men were walking on the 4700 block of North Broad Street. They came across another group and "appeared to have a verbal dispute" before one man pulled out a handgun and opened fire, police said. Two Coatesville residents have been arrested and charged in the fentanyl overdose death of their 8-year-old son last summer, authorities said Holly Back and Mousa Hawa were each charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the July 26, 2023 overdose death of their son, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said on Tuesday, June 4. Driver Wanted For Kennett Square Hit-Run, Police Say
Kennett Square police are searching for a driver who they said fled the scene of an accident on Thursday, May 9. A man in a white Chrysler 200 pulled onto Center Street from Scarlett Alley and struck another car after running the stop sign on West Cypress Street, according to authorities. Group Comes Under Fire In Abington Park, Police Say
Authorities are investigating after a group of people were shot at in Abington's Crestmont Park. Police said it happened last Saturday, April 27 around 10:15 p.m. The shots missed the victims but damaged their vehicles, officials said. The shooters fled the park in a dark-colored sedan, according to police. "None of the individuals had any idea who would have targeted them for this attack," they noted.
