Wrong-Way DUI Driver Kills East Stroudsburg Man On Route 80: Police, Court Records
A 31-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed by a wrong-way intoxicated driver on Route 80 early Sunday, Feb. 2, authorities said. Victor Peters, 45, of Parsippany was heading east in the westbound lanes of Route 80 in a Mercedes SUV in Rockaway Township when he struck a Ford pickup truck driven by Destinn McKnight around 2:20 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan. McKnight died while Peters was seriously injured, Marchan said. I-80 Road Rage Shooter With PA Plates Sought In NJ
New Jersey State Police are investigating a road rage shooting on Route 80 this week. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, around 6:18 a.m., when the driver of a silver minivan with a Pennsylvania license plate pulled alongside a blue Subaru Outback and fired at least one shot, striking the rear driver’s side window, authorities said. It happened near Exit 47B in Parsippany. New Forecast: Increased Snowfall Totals Expected, Arctic Temps To Follow Northeast Storm
Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm. Intermittent snow is expected to begin between 4 and 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, with the heaviest amounts falling in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Snow will fall at about 0.5 inches per hour and will taper by the evening, with temps in the upper 20s and low 30s, the NWS said. State Police: Warren County Man, 55, Killed In Route 80 Crash With Parked Tractor-Trailer
A 55-year-old Hackettstown man was killed in a Wednesday evening crash with a parked tractor-trailer on Route 80 eastbound, state police said. Walter Pasuco was driving a Hyundai on Route 80 in Parsippany when he crashed into the back of a Volvo tractor-trailer that was parked in the eastbound right shoulder near milepost 40.4 just before 4:15 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Police: PA Men Nabbed After High-Speed Pursuit In Stolen Car, Run Through Morris County Woods
An underage PA man was intoxicated when he led officers on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle, abandoned it in Morris County and ran through the woods with the passenger, authorities said.
