Drugs, Ghost Guns, Corruption: Bucks Co. Native Turned NJ Police Sgt. Indicted, Prosecutors Say
A former Middletown police sergeant was given 22 criminal charges after an investigation revealed a web of illegal activity involving untraceable guns, drugs, and abuse of power, authorities said.
David Ringkamp, 43, was indicted by a grand jury, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Thursday, Dec. 19. Ringkamp was formerly a Union Beach resident.
The investigation into Ringkamp began in December 2021. New York State Police identified Nicholas D’Ambrosio of Millstone as someone purchasing kits to assemble ghost guns, which are illegal in New Jersey.…

JD Vance, former President Donald Trump's running mate in the 2024 election, is holding a campaign rally in Bucks County, and there could be some traffic disruptions, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Vance will be at the Newtown Sports and Events Center, 207 Penns Trail, Newtown at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, according to the Trump campaign website. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Bryan Gray, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper, husband, and father, died on Thursday, Jan. 18, according to his obituary. He was 36.
A Philadelphia native, Gray most recently lived in Morrisville with his wife and daughter, loved ones wrote. He was a state trooper of five years, serving at the Troop K barracks in Philadelphia, a family member wrote on GoFundMe.

Bucks County native Raymond D. Kruzick died on Aug. 13 at the age of 31.
The Newtown resident was a 2009 graduate of Council Rock High School, according to his obituary.
Kruzick was remembered for his "charismatic personality, belly laughter, and kind heart, always caring for those around him."

Bucks 'Contractor' Scammed Victim of $4,500 For Incomplete Job, Police Say
An unlicensed Bucks County contractor turned himself in for scamming an alleged victim of $4,575 for an incomplete home improvement job, authorities said.
A Newtown resident told local police that they hired Patrick Niles, 58, of Yardley under the business name of PFN Home Improvement to complete work on their home in September 2020, Newtown Township police said.
Niles was subsequently paid installments for the project, totaling $4,575, but never completed the work on the victim's house, nor did he return any of the payments, police said.
