The heavy rains that are flooding roadways in New Jersey and grounding school buses in New York are impacting parts of eastern Pennsylvania as well, according to the National Weather Service. Meteorologists say areas east and northeast of Philadelphia — including Bucks and Northampton counties — could see up to six inches of rainfall by 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. With a round of storms moving from west to east in interior portions of the region, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of the area The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 across DC, MD, NJ, PA, and VA. An "armed and dangerous" fugitive is on the run after missing his Berks County court date, Pennsylvania State Police warn. Jonathan E. Polanco of Reading, 28, never showed up to the Court of Common Pleas for a final disposition hearing on Thursday, Aug. 24, said troopers in a release. He was facing charges including felony firearm offenses, fleeing police, and receiving stolen property in an alleged incident on June 26 of last year, state court records show. "Breaking Bad" actor and Philadelphia native Mark Margolis died Thursday, Aug. 3, Forbes reports. He was 83. Woman Assaulted, Robbed Victims In Forks Township: Police
Forks Township police are seeking a woman accused of assault and robbery, the department said in a release. It happened on Saratoga Court, around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, authorities said. Two victims told police they were attacked and robbed of their cell phones before the suspect fled in a car. The suspect is identified as 30-year-old Taylor Marie Llorens, and police say she may be headed to New York City. A 27-year-old New Jersey man is facing charges for throwing a cell phone at singer Bebe Rexha during a concert in New York City, Daily Voice has learned. Nicolas Malvagna, of Manalapan, "intentionally" threw the phone at the 33-year-old artist, hitting her in her face and causing her to collapse to her knees during her Sunday, June 18 performance, at The Rooftop at Pier 17, a spokesperson for the NYPD tells Daily Voice.
