Federal Investigation Focuses On Police Chief In PA: Report
A police chief in Bucks County has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into the performance of his duties, 6abc reports. Nelson Whitney "received a federal grand jury subpoena seeking his cooperation in a federal investigation," following a vote of no confidence by the Police Association of Falls Township (PAFT), Whitney's attorney told the outlet. Police Officer Justified In Deadly Falls Township Shooting, DA Says
A police officer was justified in fatally shooting a knife-wielding man earlier this year during a domestic dispute in Falls Township, authorities announced Wednesday. “I have concluded that [the officers] were reasonable in their individual beliefs that both of their lives were placed in clear and present danger by Mr. Jorge Perez at the time that [the officer] shot him," Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said in a letter to Falls Township police chief Nelson Whitney. PD: Levittown Man, 79, Dies In Fairless Hills Crash
A 79-year-old Levittown man died in a crash early Thursday morning in Fairless Hills (Bucks County), authorities said. Charles Cocchiaro was driving in a 1995 Jaguar on Trenton Road just before 9 a.m. when he veered onto the shoulder and struck the back of an occupied but parked 2018 Nissan, according to Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney. Cocchiaro was found unresponsive by arriving officers, Whitney said. Life-saving efforts were also unsuccessful. The occupant of the Nissan was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.…

1 Man Hospitalized In Falls Township Apartment Complex Shooting
Falls Township police are investigating after one man was hospitalized in a shooting that broke out at a local apartment complex overnight Wednesday, authorities said. Responding officers found a man shot in the arm and abdomen at the Castle Club Apartments on West Trenton Avenue in Morrisville around 1 a.m., according to Falls Police Chief Nelson Whitney. EMS sent the man to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
