A man barricade in a basement with a hatchet and a machete following a fight with a teenager has been shot dead, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced on Sunday, Sept. 15. East Greenville Police were sent to a home in the 100 block of Cherry Street for a domestic incident called into 911 by an 18-year-old around 8:08 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, as detailed in the release. A man has died and a woman is injured after a "domestic dispute" in Scranton on Saturday, June 8, according to city police. Authorities said they were called to 1612 Pine Street for reports of arguing and gunfire around 10 a.m. A 27-year-old woman was found with "a gunshot wound to the upper extremity" and taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center, police said. A Chester County man is facing charges after police discovered that he had attacked and stabbed his 70-year-old father, leaving him with severe injuries, authorities announced Wednesday.
