62-Year-Old Man Dead, 2 Critical In Morris County Weekend House Fire
A 62-year-old man was killed and two others were seriously injured in a weekend fire in Morris County, authorities tell Daily Voice. Gregory Balbirnie was found dead while two other victims rescued, a male and female, were taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in the Saturday, Dec. 10 fire on Cypress and Elm places in Randolph, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Records show Balbirnie previously lived in Downington, PA. He worked as a realtor in Exton for the past several years, his LinkedIn profile shows. The fire remains under investigation.

A Pennsylvania man is behind bars on allegations that he burglarized half a dozen Morris County businesses — including a retail and convenience store, restaurant, and three gas stations — over the course of three months, authorities announced. Kenneth K. Cook, 48, was charged with various counts of theft, burglary, criminal mischief, and conspiracy, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. A 46-year-old Morris County woman was accused of starting a fire that destroyed a home and killed a cat for insurance purposes, authorities announced Tuesday. Pamela Hankin, of Boonton, was charged with aggravated arson, insurance fraud, endangerment, and animal cruelty, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Investigators continue to search for clues more than 50 years after the brutal killing of a 28-year-old mother in Morris County. Joyce Coleman was found dead as officers responded to her husband’s call at 245 Bartley Rd. in Washington Township around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 1970, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said. Coleman was a young mother, and her baby was found unharmed, the MCPO said. A group of owners and operators sold pot and THC products out of smoke shops in Englewood, Butler, Randolph, and Scotch Plains, charged authorities who busted them during a series of raids.
