Wyoming County Man Killed, Driver Airlifted In New Jersey Crash: Troopers A northeast Pennsylvania man was dead and another man was airlifted after a head-on crash on the Jersey Shore, officials said. Thomas Grau, 55, of Falls, PA, died in the crash in Dennis Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene on Route 47 South just south of Tyler Road near milepost 18.8. at around 12:28 p.m. Investigators said Grau was driving north in a Toyota Prius when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming Nissan Pathfinder. East Coast Ring Stole High-End GPS Devices From Boatyards In NJ, Elsewhere, State Police Charge An ex-con with a previous history of boat-related thefts was part of a Miami-based ring that stole GPS systems from boatyards along the East Coast, including more than $300,000 worth in New Jersey, authorities said. Mizael Alfonso, 47, and co-defendant Marie Frometa Rodriguez, 41, were captured at a motel in Plymouth, MA, New Jersey State Police said. A third defendant, Manuel Barbosa Mendiluza, 58, was arrested by Miami police, while a fourth, Ciro Perez Martinez, 29, was nabbed by the Miami-Dade Marine Theft Task Force. Wildwood Man Beat Victims With Gun After Shooting, Police Say A 55-year-old South Jersey man has been charged with murder after firing his handgun and then beating two people, authorities said.  After missing with a gunshot, Christopher Speigel of Wildwood allegedly struck a man and a woman in the head with the butt of his handgun, according to Middle Township police.  The incident occurred in the 300 block of route 47 South in Middle Township at 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.  Speigel was later arrested at his home in Wildwood.
