14-Year-Old Girl Crossing Street With Mom Killed In Philly Hit-Run: Police A 14-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run crash, Philadelphia Police announced on Friday, Sept. 27. Dawn Watson, of 900 block of North 66th Avenue in Philly, was crossing the street with her mom when a dark vehicle traveling east at a high rate of speed struck the girl and fled the scene, the Philadelphia Police Department said. Officers were called to the crash scene at 6500 Haverford Avenue at 9:38 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.  The dark vehicle may have been a Mercedes, according to police. Bristol Police Seek ID For Catalytic Converters From Thieves Police in Bucks County are seeking the public's help identifying a pair who allegedly stole catalytic converters from cars in Bristol Borough, authorities said. An unknown pair operating a silver Mercedes Station Wagon removed the catalytic converters from two cars at 215 Old Route 13 and 320 Pond Street during the early morning hours of Feb. 9, Bristol Borough police said.
