Murder-suicide: Police ID Husband, Wife Found Dead In Lancaster County Home Police have identified the couple found dead in what they say was a murder-suicide in a Lancaster County home early Wednesday, April 10. Mark E. Shepherd, 71, shot his wife Diane L. Shepherd, 63, and then himself in their home on the 300 block of Sun Hill Road in Penn Township, bringing police to the scene just after 4 a.m., Northern Lancaster County Regional Police said. The couple's extended family was inside the home at the time of the incident. They told police that they awoke to a loud domestic-related argument between Mark and Diane occurring in a separate part of the home.
