Trooper Among 3 Seriously Hurt After Driver Fails To Yield On Route 283: PA State Police
Three people, including a Pennsylvania State Police trooper, were seriously injured when a Volkswagen Passat crashed into a marked police cruiser on Route 283 in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, police announced on Sunday, Jan. 26. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 5.9 on Route 283 East, according to a release by Pennsylvania State Police. A trooper was investigating a prior crash involving a disabled vehicle in the left lane and had positioned their Ford Explorer partially in the left lane and shoulder with emergency lights activated. Maryland Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Pennsylvania, State Police Say
A 70-year-old Maryland man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Pennsylvania during the snowstorm on Tuesday, Nov. 15, authorities say. Jeff Shook was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox along Route 96, also known as Hyndman Road, in Londonderry Township when he lost control of the vehicle, Pennsylvania state police say. A contractor has died on Three Mile Island during a “material handling accident,” accident to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
