27-Year-Old Killed By Allentown Police Identified The man shot and killed by police in Allentown early on Monday, July 24 has been identified as 27-year-old Dominick Hogans.  Hogans was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest around 4:30 a.m., said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio in a release.  City police said they were called to the corner of 6th and Turner streets around 3:40 a.m. for reports of a "male waving a firearm." 74-Year-Old Man Dead In Reading Fire (Photos, Videos) A 74-year-old man died in a Reading fire overnight, the Berks County Coroner announced. Eustaquio Torres Cruz was rescued from the building at 327 Linden St., after the blaze broke out around 12:30 a.m., Acting Berks County Coroner Jonn Hollenbach said. He was and rushed to a local hospital, where he died about an hour later of smoke inhalation, the coroner said. 1 Person Hospitalized In Allentown Shooting Allentown police are investigating a shooting that left one person hospitalized Thursday night. Police found the victim with gunshot wounds in the 100 block of North 7th Street around 7:50 p.m., Allentown police said. The victim was treated on scene by officers and EMS before they were sent to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, police said. The person is expected to survive. Police have declined further comment as the investigation is active and ongoing.
