Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Issued In These NJ, PA Counties
The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm warnings and warned of 60 mph winds across parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania Friday, June 14.
At 4:15 p.m., the NWS issued the warnings for Sussex and Warren counties in New Jersey, and Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton, in PA.
Newton, Washington, Jim Thorpe, Stroudsburg, Reading, Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, are also being warned of severe storms.
The warnings are in effect through 5 p.m.

Toms River native and dedicated Pennsylvania father of four Jeremy S. Rawlins died on Thursday, Oct. 6 at age 35.
Born in Toms River, Jeremy lived in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania before settling in Lansford, where he lived at the time of his death, his obituary and social media pages say.

Alcohol was suspected to be involved in a three-car crash that sent a driver and passenger to a nearby hospital Monday evening, authorities said.
Jessica Braker, 23, was attempting to turn south onto Route 248 at the Route 873 intersection in a gray Honda Civic when the vehicle veered off the road around 4:20 p.m., Lehigh Township Police said.
Braker, of Palmerton, then drove across a traffic island and struck a blue Ford Edge facing north on Route 873 driven by Jason Sheckler, 49, of Palmerton, police said.
