CDC: COVID Vaccinated Students, Teachers Don't Need To Wear Masks In Classroom
Fully vaccinated teachers and students do not have to wear masks while in the classroom starting this fall under brand-new COVID-19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on Friday, July 9. The updated recommendation comes as more than 55 percent of the United States' population has received at least one vaccine dose, including more than 47 percent who are fully vaccinated. 19: Easton Area Middle School Pivots To Remote Instruction After 7 Cases In 14 Days
A middle school in Northampton County will move to remote instruction for Tuesday and Wednesday after seven positive COVID-19 cases were reported in a rolling 14-day period, school officials said. Easton Area Middle School students will participate in fully remote learning April 27 and 28 and will return for in-person learning on April 29, Superintendent, David F. 19: College In Western Mass Latest To Require Students Get Vaccinated
Students returning to campus at Smith College next fall will be required to get vaccinated before heading back to the classroom. With its intention of fully reopening the college to full in-person learning in the fall, the college, located in Northampton, announced that anyone returning to campus for the 2021-2022 school year must be vaccinated, barring specific religious or health concerns.
