Crews Battle Blaze In Allentown
First responders were called to an apartment building in Allentown for a three-alarm fire on Monday evening, July 8. The blaze broke out on the 1100 block of Hamilton Street around 5:30 p.m., said firefighters. Crews were still on the scene as late as 10:30 p.m., according to city fire officials. Photos from the scene showed heavy smoke and visible flames from a row building block containing apartments and businesses on the ground floor. Coroner IDs Pedestrian Killed In Allentown Crash
Officials have named the 42-year-old man who was fatally struck by a car in Allentown on Tuesday, June 25. Li-Qiang Hu was hit around 10 p.m. on the 2000 block of Hamilton Street, according to city police. Authorities said they found him with "serious injuries" and rendered aid at the scene before taking him to an area hospital. Hu, of South Arlington Township in Lackawanna County, succumbed to his injuries around 2 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Man Hospitalized After Shooting At Allentown Gas Station: Police
A man in Allentown was shot early Friday morning, authorities said. Officers were called around 5:20 a.m. to the Sunoco gas station and 7-Eleven on 12th and Hamilton Streets on a report of shots fired, where they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Allentown police said in a news release. The unidentified man was treated at the scene before being taken to an area hospital by Allentown EMS, police said. He was in serious condition, authorities at the scene told WFMZ.
