Thanksgiving brought Newark Airport a near-dubious distinction when authorities seized the 22nd gun of the year at a security checkpoint, authorities said. Transportation Security Administration officers stopped a Delaware County, PA man with a 9mm handgun loaded with 13 bullets -- including one in the chamber -- in his carry-on bag in Terminal C, the agency's Lisa Farbstein said. Philly High Schooler Arrested After Gun Found In Locker: Report
A Philadelphia high school student was detained after police found a firearm in their locker, according to a report by 6ABC. Authorities were searching a locker for drugs at Mastery Hardy Williams Charter School on Warrington Avenue in Kingsessing just after 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 when they spotted the gun, the outlet wrote. Monroe County Bank Robber Learns His Fate
A New York man convicted of robbing a Monroe County bank last September will spend five years in prison, authorities have announced. Federal officials say Michael Muse, 44, of Brooklyn, walked into the ESSA Bank on Milford Road in Middle Smithfield Township on Sept. 16, 2021 and stole about $9,000 at gunpoint before fleeing the scene. The firearm was later determined to be an air pistol, authorities said. On Thursday, Oct. 27, federal Judge Malachy E. Mannion sentenced Muse to five years imprisonment, officials said in a statement.

Person Found Fatally Shot At Park In Bucks County
A person was found fatally shot at a park in Bucks County Tuesday morning, authorities said. Officers were called around 8:05 a.m. to the Quaker Penn Park in Morrisville, where they found a man dead from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound, Falls Township police said in a Wednesday news release. Police said there were no witnesses or park visitors at the time of the shooting. The gun was recovered from the scene, police said.
