A woman was injured when a stick of dynamite exploded in her hand in North Philadelphia on Thursday evening, March 13, authorities said. The blast happened around 7:08 p.m. on the 2000 block of North Stillman Street, according to police radio clips and 911 reports. Witnesses told authorities the woman had been handling the explosive when it detonated. ATM Explodes At Philly Sandwich Shop, Police Say
An early morning explosion damaged an ATM outside Johnny’s Hots restaurant in Philadelphia, authorities said. Police were called to the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue at 1:26 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, where they found the machine severely damaged by explosive materials, according to a press release. The Bomb Squad responded and secured the scene, police said. No access was gained to the ATM’s money-holding area, and no arrests have been made. The suspect of a Lower Providence police standoff was found dead in the rubble of his burned-out home following a fire, gunfire, and series of explosions Thursday afternoon, authorities said. The body of Thomas Razzi, 66, was found in the rubble of his Eagleville home just before midnight, nearly 12 hours after he allegedly displayed a firearm to a code-enforcement officer attempting to complete a routine follow-up inspection, according to Lower Providence Township police chief Mike Jackson. The body of an Eagleville man who apparently chased a code enforcement officer with a gun then set off explosions in his house causing a massive fire in the complex was found in the rubble. Officers responded and engaged with Thomas Razzi, who went back into the home on 4000 block of Cardin Place around 1 p.m., according to Lower Providence Township police chief Mike Jackson. A two-alarm fire displaced 10 people early Thursday morning in Delaware County. The fire that broke out at a house on the 1100 block of Thomas Street just after 4:30 a.m., CBS3 reports.
