An unidentified woman in her 80s died in a house fire on Wednesday, Sept. 11, authorities said. At approximately 9:50 a.m., an Emergency-911 call was placed reporting a residential structure fire at 3500 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia police said. Responding units arrived on the scene to find the property engulfed in flames, police said. A major gas leak prompted evacuations in Palmer Township, authorities said. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Thursday, Aug. 8. A 15-year-old is in critical condition after a North Philadelphia shooting on Friday evening, July 26, police said. The victim was shot in the left side of the head in a third-floor recording studio, according to authorities. Patrol Vehicle Crash Sends 1 To Hospital: Philadelphia PD
An officer "operating a marked patrol vehicle was involved with a private vehicle", sending one person to the hospital on Monday morning, July 22, Philadelphia Police announced. The crash happened in the 18th District, at 57th Street and Larchwood Avenue at 6:09 a.m., as stated in the release. PA State Police Car Catches Fire On Route 80
A PSP vehicle caught fire on a Luzerne County highway late Monday, July 15, according to officials. The blaze happened on Route 80 near mile marker 272.1, said White Haven Fire Company. Troopers brought the flames under control by the time firefighters arrived, and a hose was used to soak down the engine compartment, authorities said. No one was injured, the fire company added.
