Berks Thieves Used Stolen Truck To Rip ATM From Ground, Troopers Say
State police are investigating a theft from an ATM at a Berks County bank. The three suspects drove a stolen truck to First Citizens Community Bank in Tulpehocken Township around 3 a.m. on May 6, troopers said in a release. They pried open the top panel and bottom door of a drive-up ATM, fastened a tow hook and chain inside the door, then accelerated the truck forward to remove the ATM from its concrete base, police said. NJ Man Dies After Rollover Crash On Delaware Expressway: Troopers
A Trenton, NJ man has died after losing control of his Dodge Durango on Interstate 95 in Delaware County Sunday morning, Feb. 11, according to state police. Troopers said the unnamed 32-year-old was southbound and passing another driver near mile marker 0.8 in Upper Chichester when he crashed into a ditch around 7 a.m. The driver was thrown some 50 feet from his Durango, which came to rest on its roof, police said. A Philadelphia man is accused of attempted murder for the fatal shooting of his own stepfather over the summer, the District Attorney's Office announced this week. Japheth Wells, 25, is also charged with aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, and related counts, prosecutors said. Authorities believe Wells drove to his stepdad's home on the 1300 block of E. Duval Street in a stolen Dodge Durango on July 12. Two Philadelphia police officers were shot — one fatally — while in the parking garage at the Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday night. Officer Richard Mendez, a 50-year-old with 22 years in the department, was hit multiple times and died from his wounds, PPD brass said at a Friday evening press conference. Easton Motorcyclist, 32, Killed In Head-On Crash With SUV
A 32-year-old Easton motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV last week, authorities said. A Dodge Durango was turning left from Route 611 North onto Browns Drive in Williams Township around 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, Pennsylvania State Police said. The SUV crossed into the oncoming lane and hit Benjamin Blampied head-on in the southbound lane, police said. Blampied, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Details have been released in a shooting-pursuit on Interstate 76 in Lancaster County that hospitalized a Pennsylvania State Trooper on Friday, April 15. Two troopers pulled over two SUVs, one black and one white, around 11:35 p.m. near mile maker 273.2 east in Elizabeth Township, Trooper Kevin Kochka said.
