A car fire on a New Jersey roadway has been linked to the shooting of two Philadelphia police officers that left one dead on Thursday evening, Oct. 12, authorities said. Police in South Brunswick said only that the vehicle fire extinguished on Route 32 around 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, was connected to the shooting. Philadelphia police are investigating the murder of a person whose remains were discovered in a burning car in the Northeast early on Tuesday, April 18. Hundreds of thousands of Subaru SUVs are the latest vehicles subject to a nationwide recall due to the potential they could unexpectedly catch fire. The auto giant announced a recall of 271,694 Subaru Ascent SUVs with produced in the 2019 through 2022 model years due to a faulty electrical grounding bolt that may have been improperly fastened, according to the company. Multiple fire crews were called to Tesla fire on Interstate 80 on Tuesday, Nov. 15, authorities say. Man Hospitalized In Pennsburg Car Fire: Authorities
A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out in his car, authorities in Montgomery County said. Firefighters doused the car blaze along the 600 block of Penn Street in Pennsburg around 2 p.m., a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety told Daily Voice. The heavy flames eventually spread to a second vehicle, causing damage to a total of two vehicles. officials said. New Jersey State Police have identified the 25-year-old driver killed in a fiery crash in South Jersey early Monday. The single-car crash was reported at 4:21a.m. on I-295 south at milepost 47.4 in Burlington Township, according to Trooper Alejandro Goez. Police tried in vain to rescue a Little Ferry driver who was killed when his SUV went up in flames as he tried to drive out of a snowbank Wednesday morning.
