Bethlehem Driver, 81, Killed In Accident
Authorities have identified the Bethlehem driver who died in a crash on Wednesday, June 21.
Rong Chin Kuo, 81, of Bethlehem, died of blunt force injuries in an accident, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said in a release.
Kuo was driving along the 1900 block of Easton Avenue at 4 p.m. when his car veered off the road and hit a tree, the Coroner said. He was rushed to St. Luke's University Hospital where he died from his injuries about two hours later, officials said.
The crash is being investigated by Bethlehem police, the Coroner's Office added.
Lehigh Valley Man Dies After Being Hit By Two Cars, Coroner Says
A car accident in the Lehigh Valley claimed the life of a pedestrian late on Saturday, June 10, officials say.
It happened around 9 p.m. in North Whitehall, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio in a statement. Christian Torres, 22, of North Whitehall, was hit by two cars near Rising Sun Road and Mauser Street.
Torres was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest about an hour later, he added. The cause of death is pending an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, Buglio wrote.
The accident remains under investigation by state police.
