Man Dies Days After Utility Pole Crash In Poconos: Lehigh County Coroner A 43-year-old man has died days after a crash with a utility pole in the Poconos, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Rowland Matthews, of Dreher Township, Wayne County, struck a utility pole on Route 191 about one mile south of Pocono Plateau Road in Cresco, Monroe County, the coroner's office said.  The crash happened at 3:44 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, according to the coroner's office.  Matthews was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital. on Friday, Oct. 18, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Mary Frances Peiffer of Auburn died of blunt force injuries, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Peiffer was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, at 2:02 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, Buglio detailed in the release. Coroner Names Driver Killed In Lehigh County Crash Eighty-four-year-old Helen R. Werley died after her car struck another vehicle in Lynn Township on Thursday, April 11, according to the Lehigh County Coroner.  Officials said Werley, of Weisenberg Township, died from multiple blunt-force injuries. The manner of death was accidental.  The crash happened near the intersection of Schochary Road and Kistler Valley Road around 3:45 p.m. and Werley was pronounced dead at the scene, the Coroner's Office added.

Linda J. Koy Killed In Palmer Twp. Crash: Coroner The Northampton County Coroner's Office has named the 77-year-old woman who died in a Palmer Township crash on Thursday, March 21.  Linda J. Koy of Williams Township died from blunt force injuries, said Coroner Zachary Lysek in a release. The manner of death was accidental.  The crash happened near the intersection of Van Buren and Lower Way roads, police said Thursday. Van Buren Road was shut down while crews worked the scene.  Koy was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus where she died from her injuries, the Coroner's Office said.
